Internet Center

The internet center of the college has established in 1/1/2004, it presents its services to the professors and technicians and students from inside and outside the college. The services include finding researches and scientific subjects on the internet network, which will help the students to finish their studies and their graduation’s projects, and also they can correspond with the other universities and colleges through entering the websites of these colleges then they can get studying expeditions to finish their higher education or to know the latest news of the pharmacy colleges in the world. The center is also presenting the general services of the internet which contain the email and browsing, chatting, downloading files and photos and programs ….etc.
The internet center is opening all the days of the year from 8:30 AM till 1:00 PM, except the formal vacations’ days.
The internet services are characterized by its quick speed, the type of the system is DW4020 (Star Trio) and the Download Speed is 512 Kbps and the Upload Speed is 128 Kbps. This speed is helping the browsers to find what they want quickly and in a qualified way, in addition to that the fees of using the internet, according to the students and lecturers from inside and outside the college, are simple and competitive if we compare them to the fees which are taken in other centers or coffee nets outside the college.
The responsible of the internet center are doing a great and big role in helping the students and lecturers who are searching for scientific and general subjects on the internet, and helping them to correspond with other universities in the world, replying the students’ requests who send their questions to the college’s email, doing maintenance works for the hardware and software of the computers in the center in a periodical way, uploading the latest published programs and applications, and doing maintenance works for the database and update its schedules by the latest information about the students and lecturers, equipment and furniture in the college and then send these information to the major database in the ministry of higher education by email. Furthermore the responsible of the center are daily updating the official website of the college with the latest news and doing the maintenance works that it needs.

Computer Center

The computer center has established with the beginning of the college establishment in 2000.It is a developed center in which the computer programs and subjects are being studied to the first stage’s students in addition to present many computer services for the college’s students and professors. The subjects that are being studied in the first semester (operating system, Ms- Dos, Microsoft windows) and in the second semester (Microsoft office) includes (Ms-word) (Ms excel)( Ms PowerPoint) in addition to study one of the programming language like Basic in details.
The second stage students are studying communication in details then they study Internet as one of the application in their studies. The computer center is presenting its services to all the students and professors and affiliated of the college in the computer programs and systems.
In addition to these services, the center is maintaining the computer’s hardware and software and updating them by using the latest programs and applications. The center is run and supervised by qualified and specialized programmers in the computer maintenance and developing fields.
There is a future plan to develop the center in the coming years and providing it with new devices and services like making training courses for all the students from all the stages and making training courses for the administrative staff according to their requirements and making scientific courses that are using the data show and computer application.

Sport Center

The sport center has established in 2004, the sport activity is a recreational activity for the students and lecturers and it is aiming to develop the corporal fitness and individual skills, and to take benefit from the rest time of the students to refresh their vitality through participating in the inside and outside championships of the college.
The sport center of the college is opening from 8:30 AM till 1:00 PM, and it is containing of a football team (quintet ball) and basketball team, and desk ball.
The football team is composing of 10 players from different stages, the team has participated in the championship which the medicine college in Baghdad University has made in the college stadium, and the team played many matches and got good results.
The basketball team is composing of 12 players with the back-up players and from all stages. The team has participated in amicable matches with the teams of medicine and dentist’s colleges, and it got satisfied and good results.
Also the desk ball team has participated in different championships inside the college and got good results.
The characteristical players in the football team are: Saif Mohammed (third stage), Safaa’ Juma’a (forth stage). And in the basketball team, Ahmed Mo’ayad (forth stage), Salam Saad (second stage). Finally in desk ball team, the couples:

Hussein Ali (fifth stage) and Haidar Nidham (fifth stage)
Saif Mohammed (third stage) and Saif Saad (third stage)

The sport activities in the college are supervised by Pro. Sadeer Mohammed.

Library

The library of the college has established with the establishment of the college in 2000 and it has developed its contents and ways of works during the last years. The library is characterized by its great and new references and scientific resources in medical and pharmaceutical fields, in addition to groups of different scientific books which cover the basic and not basic subjects in the college like mathematics and physics and computer….etc.
The library is using new different ways and devices which are equal to the latest developments of the libraries in the world, such as using the computers which help to store and recall the information at any time; also it is used (Winisis) library’s system and it is saved many books and dictionaries and scientific magazines in compact discs (CD-Rom) in addition to Medline programs.
The library is using Internet network which is considered the biggest reference and resource of the information in the current period, the library is using the American system (National Library Medicine Classification).
The library contains about 4265 books and 330 journals and 151 scientific magazines and 165 compact discs. The library is composed of three halls; the first one is for the library administration and books classification and the second is for the textbooks and the third is for reading. The library is supervised by specialized administrative staff to help those who come usually to the library from inside and outside the college and present all the facilities to achieve their works and researches. The library is providing the students with all the books and text books of all the stages for free; the library is updating these books and journals periodically. The library is continuing it's hard work to develop its scientific references in all the pharmaceutical and medical specializations in order to get more and more knowledge for the benefit of the students.
